c. Higher-Order Thinking Skills Test
January 31st, 2010
Basic reading skills for test-taking were sufficient in years-gone-by. But today’s high-stakes tests require higher-order thinking skills.
However, many students fail to generalize from one test form to another, so you need to develop practice materials that ask higher-order thought-evoking questions.
Unfortunately, the test practice books that you purchase at the teachers’ supply store are expensive, have isolated one-off printable exercises and are not aligned with your curriculum.
A more efficient strategy to employ is to use our template and create your own higher-order thinking tests based upon content that you are currently teaching.
