E. Fact and Opinion

Separating facts from opinions is a crucial thinking skill, as is separating facts from lies, untruths, mistakes and mis-interpretations.

It might seem odd that a work of fantasy and fiction, such as a fable, provides such a fertile arena for discovering and distinguishing fact from non-fact; however, the opportunities to explore what is real and what is imagined abound with instruction that uses fables for integrated learning.
